Earl Sweatshirt Interviews Skateboarder/Frank Ocean Collaborator Sage Elsesser

Sage Elsesser is a professional skateboarder and longtime Odd Future affiliate. He’s credited with Art Direction on Earl Sweatshirt’s I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside, and has two songwriting credits on Frank Ocean’s Blonde (“Solo” and “Futura Free,” in which he’s one of the interview subject at the end). He’s also been referenced several times, as on Earl’s “Inside” and “Sasquatch” (from Doris). Now, Earl has interviewed Elsesser—his current roommate—for the skateboarding site Quartersnacks. In it, Earl asks questions like, “What got you into skating?” and “When did we start chilling?” They also discuss skateboarding techniques and gear, as well as the music Elsesser likes—notably, Joy Division.
