Ferris Bueller’s Day Off Soundtrack to Get First Official Release

Classic American teen comedy film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off never saw an official soundtrack release when the film was put out in 1986. All that is about to change: beginning September 13, La-La Land Records will make the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off soundtrack available for the first time. According to Film Music Reporter, the new release will gather songs played in the movie as well as Ira Newborn’s original score, and is limited to a run of 5000 copies. The tracklist includes Yello’s “Oh Yeah” and “Danke Schoen” by Wayne Newton, as well as the marching band version of “Twist and Shout”; find the full list here.
