Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, and Maya Rudolph’s Talking Heads Parody Band Will Play Festival Supreme

In September, Fred Armisen and Bill Hader debuted their Talking Heads parody band Test Pattern on “Late Night With Seth Meyers.” The band was the focus of last week’s episode of their IFC series “Documentary Now!,” which parodied Jonathan Demme’s 1984 Talking Heads documentary Stop Making Sense.

Today, it’s been announced that Test Pattern will play a live show at Los Angeles’ Festival Supreme on October 29. The band’s lineup will include Fred Armisen on guitar, Bill Hader on bass, Maya Rudolph on vocals and synth, Jon Wurster (of the comedy duo Scharpling and Wurster) on drums, and Jon Spurney on keyboards. Flight of the Conchords, Patton Oswalt, Tenacious D, and Mac DeMarco are among the festival’s other performers.

Last year, Armisen and Hader released Catalina Breezean album by their fake soft rock band Blue Jean Committee
