Haim Chat With Pharrell on Beats 1, Are Getting Their Own Show

On today’s episode of Pharrell Williams‘ Beats 1 radio show OTHERtone, the producer welcomed Haim to the studio. During the episode, the sisters revealed that they’re getting their own Beats 1 show. When asked about the show’s title, they told Pharrell that they might call it “Haim Time”. They also revealed that they’re working on a new album. Listen here.
Pharrell told a story about seeing Haim at SXSW in 2013, but then the sisters revealed that they once approached Pharrell at a mall in Miami in 2004. “Send me the demos,” he told them at the time (but they didn’t because they promptly forgot his phone number). The Haim sisters also talked about getting each other fake IDs and their family dynamic.
During the episode, Haim and Pharrell bonded over their mutual love of Prince, Steely Dan, and Carly Simon. The episode featured songs by Jay Z, Cass McCombs, U.S. Girls, Cyndi Lauper, Chaka Khan, Stevie Nicks, and more.
