Hudson Mohawke Collection Surfaces Containing Alleged Frank Ocean Beats

Yesterday afternoon, a folder of 11 unreleased Hudson Mohawke beats, collected under the title frank o0000oocean, appeared on Reddit. (An autotweet of the thread was retweeted by TNGHT.) After the thread was removed, a different user posted the same folder under the title “Hudson Mohawke demos for Frank Ocean (instrumentals) (leak)”. Update (9:55 a.m. EDT): TNGHT have un-retweeted the thread.

As users on the Kanye to The forum point out, some of the tracks appear to be early versions of songs released elsewhere: “Rice Chips” appeared on HudMo’s Lantern as “Warriors”, and “Where The” became the instrumental for Pusha T’s “Hold On”. That the beats were made for Frank Ocean is unconfirmed.

Update (10:17 p.m. EDT): Hudson Mohawke has confirmed that the beats “are some roughs [he] demo’d [with] a few [people].”

To clarify..the insts floating round are some roughs I demo’d w a few ppl a year or 2 back but ya.unfinished folders leak sometimes spose
