J. Cole Has the No. 1 Album in America
J. Cole’s fourth studio album, 4 Your Eyez Only, has reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, Billboard reports. The album sold 492,000 in equivalent album units with 363,000 of those in traditional album sales, making the album the third-largest debut week of 2016 (only behind Drake’s VIEWS and Beyoncé’s Lemonade). Previously, that achievement had been given to the Weeknd, for his album Starboy, which sold 348,000 in equivalent album units its first week. 4 Your Eyez Only marks J. Cole’s fourth No. 1 album.
