Jawbreaker Announce Don’t Break Down Documentary, Share Clip: Watch

Jawbreaker recently announced their first show in 21 years: a headlining set at Riot Fest in Chicago this September. Now, the festival has shared a clip from an upcoming documentary, Don’t Break Down: A Film About Jawbreaker. In the excerpt, the band recall hooking up with 24 Hour Revenge Therapy producer Steve Albini, discussing their respect for his work in Big Black and their “inferiority complex” upon meeting him. Albini, on the other hand, confuses the band with Jawbox and struggles to remember their songs. Watch the clip below.

Don’t Break Down, which has been in the works for ten years, is set to explore the trajectory of the band’s career. In addition to interviews with the band members and Albini, it will also feature interviews with Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Chris Shiflett of Foo Fighters, Josh Caterer of Smoking Popes, chef Graham Elliot, former Pitchfork editor Jessica Hopper, and more. An official release date has not yet been announced.

Riot Fest takes place September 15-17 in Chicago. Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, M.I.A., Wu-Tang Clan, Bad Brains, and more are scheduled to perform.
