Jay Z, Coldplay to Headline Global Citizen Festival in India

Global Citizen Festival, the annual music festival that encourages social awareness and activism, has taken place in New York every year since 2012. The festival is now coming to India for the first time, with Jay Z, Coldplay, and Demi Lovato scheduled to perform. The event takes place on November 19 and will be free for attendees who participate in a series of charitable acts. It will be both Coldplay and Jay Z’s first time performing in India, Rolling Stone reports. Jay Z and Coldplay previously headlined the New York edition of the festival in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Chris Martin also serves as creative director for the festival.
