John Carpenter Releasing Re-Recorded Movie Themes, Performs "Escape From New York" in Studio: Watch
Following last year’s Lost Themes and this year’s Lost Themes II, John Carpenter has teamed up with his studio collaborators—including his son Cody Carpenter and godson Daniel Davies—to re-record some iconic themes from his films. On June 17, the newly recorded songs will be released on two 12″ records via Sacred Bones. “Halloween” b/w “Escape From New York” and “Assault on Precinct 13″ b/w “The Fog” come packaged in limited edition mylar mirrorboard sleeves and as picture discs. Special blue and red vinyl editions will be available during his live shows—find those dates below.
