John Lydon Struck By Bottle at Public Image Ltd. Show: Report
Last night, Public Image Ltd. performed at a club called Blondie in Santiago, Chile. During the show, John Lydon was struck by a bottle, Rata.cl reports. The footage below shows the aftermath of the moment when Lydon’s head and shirt were covered in blood. “What a fucking coward,” Lydon said to the crowd, apparently referring to the person who threw a bottle at him. Then, after wrapping the towel around his bleeding head, he announced, “We continue!” There’s also footage of him performing later in the show while re-wrapping the towel around his head. Lydon tweeted three photos from the show with the message, “Glass attack last night in Chile. No reflection on the rest of the crowd. Great gig. It lives.”
