Joni Mitchell Reportedly Suffered Brain Aneurysm

On March 31, Joni Mitchell was hospitalized.  TMZ later reported that the iconic singer/songwriter was in a coma and unresponsive – a diagnosis later refuted by her representatives. Today, sources close to Mitchell told Billboard the reason for her hospitalization: a brain aneurysm. She remains in “very serious” condition, and is expected to be moved to a rehab facility, the sources say.

Mitchell has requested conservatorship from her longtime friend, Leslie Morris. Despite a Billboard report at the beginning of the month suggesting Mitchell’s imminent release from the hospital, sources say that she has not yet returned home, according to Billboard.
