Josh Homme Stars as Himself on British Comedy Show "Toast of London"

“Toast of London” is a British TV comedy about Steven Toast, a middle-aged actor navigating the banalities of his life. Somewhat bizarrely, last night’s episode starred Queens of the Stone Age‘s Josh Homme as himself. In the storyline, Toast runs into an ex-flame who, as it turns out, has since married Homme. They begin to rekindle their romance, though her motivations are unclear. Eventually, Homme and his band get involved, and things get bloody. Homme gets to utter the lines, “I think we should scrap these electric instruments and just play wooden ones,” while encouraging the band to cancel their arena tour and “just play churches.”
