King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard Perform “The Lord of Lightning” on “Conan”: Watch

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are touring through July, and last night they stopped by “Conan” to serve as musical guest. The band played “The Lord of Lightning” from their forthcoming album Murder of the Universe, which is out June 23 via ATO. Watch below. In a press release, frontman Stu Mackenzie discussed the album’s bleak subject matter and sound after announcing it earlier in April. “We’re living in dystopian times that are pretty scary and it’s hard not to reflect that in our music,” he said. Murder of the Universe marks King Gizzard’s second album of 2017. They previously released Flying Microtonal Banana in February.
