Lauryn Hill Shares New Version of “Rebel”: Listen

Lauryn Hill has shared a new song called “Rebel.” It is an updated version of “I Find It Hard To Say (Rebel)” which appeared on 2002’s MTV Unplugged 2.0. “Old tune, new Version, same context, even more relevant now: sick and tired of being sick and tired,” Hill wrote in a statement. You can listen to the new song on Tidal. Non-subscribers can hear a 30-second preview below. 

Hill is currently touring alongside Nas, Kehlani, Little Simz, and Noname as part of “MLH Caravan: A Diaspora Calling!,” a tour which features “artists throughout the African diaspora.” Last night, she performed Jay Z and Beyoncé’s Tidal X charity concert at the Barclays Center. Earlier today, Nicki Minaj shared a video of her tearful meeting with Hill.
