Liz Phair Recording New Double Album With Ryan Adams

Ryan Adams is working on a new double album by Liz Phair. He made the announcement on Twitter, sharing several photos of them recording at his Pax Am studio in Los Angeles. Phair confirmed the collaboration, retweeting Adams’ photos, as well as his comparison of the new material to her 1993 debut Exile in Guyville. She commented, “I’ve got to live up to you! Inspiring working with brilliant people.” Producer Don Was also seems to be involved in the project, according to Adams’ Instagram posts from the session. Check out Adams’ recording photos below.

Liz Phair’s last album was 2010’s Funstyle. Ryan Adams is set to release his new record, Prisoner, next month.
