M.I.A. Finally Has U.S. Visa Approved

M.I.A.’s U.S. visa troubles came to light earlier this year, when she suggested her label might not release her album AIM because she couldn’t promote it in the U.S. She’s since released the record—which features a song called “Visa”—and now, after apparently contacting immigration and human rights lawyers, she shared an Instagram post revealing that her visa has been approved. A representative for M.I.A. confirmed the news. The note also hints at the possibility of an upcoming tour.
