On May 27, Sun Kil Moon‘s Mark Kozelek will release the covers album Mark Kozelek Sings Favorites. He’s already shared his cover of David Bowie’s “Win” (with Faith No More’s Mike Patton). Now, he’s offered his take on outlaw country artist Waylon Jennings’ “Amanda.” It features contributions from Will Oldham (aka Bonnie “Prince” Billy) and Mimi Parker of Low. Hear it above, via Spin.
Mark Kozelek Sings Favorites includes covers of 10cc, Modest Mouse, Bob Seger, and more. Sun Kil Moon will head out on tour later this year.
