Massive Attack Perform With Tricky, Address Brexit: Watch

Massive Attack recently revealed that this year, they planned to perform with Tricky. That happened last night during their show at London’s Hyde Park. In addition to performing “Take It There” with Tricky, they offered a rare performance of their song “Eurochild” from 1994′s Protection as a “requiem” over the recent Brexit vote. “As sons of immigrants, we are both very disappointed with the situation,” Robert Del Naja said before the performance, The Independent reports (via Stereogum). “We can’t allow ourselves to fall victim to the populist bullshit going on at the moment. We can’t let the bigots and racists back into this situation. It’s bullshit.” They reportedly dedicated the performance to Boris Johnson and Michael Gove. Watch footage below.

Several artists have offered their feelings on the Brexit vote, including Thom Yorke, PJ Harvey, Anohni, Bat For Lashes, and Squarepusher.
