Mastodon’s Brent Hinds Breaks Leg While Starting Motorcycle

Mastodon’s Brent Hinds, also a member of Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, West End Motel, and Fiend Without a Face, has broken his leg in a freak accident. Hinds posted a message from his bed yesterday, apologizing for his apparently imminent withdrawal from, and possible cancelation of, his side-projects’ upcoming shows. (Giraffe Tongue Orchestra’s maiden tour was due to kick off next week.) Captioning the Instagram image, in which he holds a rusty cleaver over his bandaged leg, Hinds said the accident somehow occurred while he was starting his motorbike.
