Matthew Herbert Unveils Records Made of Aubergine, Ham, and Cheese at London Show

Matthew Herbert, the British producer who has made music from a pig’s life cycle, bullets hitting a pie, and a bomb explosion in Libya, recently unveiled a new project called “Edible Sounds.” Its first release came in the form of a very limited edition musical tortilla, which could be played like a vinyl. Now, he’s turned cheese, ham, aubergine, onions, potato, and brown sugar into edible records, as the Vinyl Factory points out. Herbert showed off his new set, commissioned by Science Gallery London, during a low-key show Wednesday night at Guy’s Chapel in London. To conclude the performance, he fed the records to the audience. Watch a couple of videos below, via Science Gallery London’s Facebook.
