Metallica’s Music Is Back on Napster

Metallica’s Music Is Back on Napster

In 2000, Metallica filed a lawsuit against Napster for copyright infringement. The next year, a California court ruled in the band’s favor, and all of their licensed music was removed from the nascent and then-notorious file-sharing service. These days, Napster is a legitimate streaming service, and Metallica’s entire catalog is now available on the platform, Billboard reports. The move comes ahead of the release of the band’s new album Hardwired…To Self-Destruct (out November 18 via their own Blackened Recordings). The record will be available on Napster, the company confirmed in a statement.
