Mike WiLL Made-It Says Feds Have Blocked Gucci Mane Collaboration

Gucci Mane has been incarcerated since 2013 on weapons charges, but thanks to a few collaborators, he’s remained prolific during his time in prison. He’s released several mixtapes and one-offs in the recent past. However, Mike WiLL Made-It‘s recent efforts to work with the rapper have reportedly been thwarted thanks to interference from federal law enforcement officers.

After Mike WiLL tweeted that he’s ready to finish up Ransom 2 following the release of Beyoncé’s “Formation” (which he produced), he wrote about his attempts to get Gucci involved:

Now I can get #RANSOM2 done how I want to. Unfortunately the feds said no to Gucci hosting a project from jail.

Ransom 2‘s previously shared art (above) features the words “Free Gucci.” Mike WiLL Made-It has often credited Gucci for supporting him early in his career. The track “Stop Start” (below) off 2014′s Ransom featured Gucci alongside Chief Keef and Peewee Longway.

The sequel to is set to feature the Rae Sremmurd track “By Chance.” It’s reportedly coming “very very very soon.”
