Missy Elliott will join Katy Perry during this Sunday’s Super Bowl XLIX halftime show, as the Associated Press reports. At a press conference on Thursday, Perry said an “old school” female singer would show up. “When you hear the first ring of the chord, I think jaws will drop and faces will melt,” she said.
Elliott and Perry previously collaborated on the remix for “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”. Elliott hasn’t released a studio album since 2005′s The Cookbook, though she dropped a pair of singles back in 2012.
Lenny Kravitz will also appear during the halftime show.
