Mount Eerie Details New Album Sauna

Back in August, Mount Eerie, aka Phil Elverum, announced Sauna, the follow up to last year’s collection Pre-Human Ideas. Now, he’s shared a little more about the album. It’s out February 3 of next year via Elverum’s own P.W. Elverum & Sun label, and will be a double album. That’s the cover above. 

As a press release notes: “This is music meant to weigh heavy on you like a lot of cold water at night, and also the sword glimmering at the bottom of the lake at night.” You can check out the tracklist below, as well as a trailer for the album. As previously noted, the album’s themes are “Vikings and zen and real life”
