Nicolas Jaar Releasing Teenage Jesus and the Jerks' Live 1977-1979

Nicolas Jaar‘s imprint Other People recently reissued Lydia Lunch‘s 1990 spoken word album Conspiracy of Women. This fall, the label will release some early live recordings from her iconic no wave band Teenage Jesus and the Jerks

Live 1977-1979 collects performances recorded at Max’s Kansas City and CBGB’s in New York, plus the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto. According to Weasel Walter‘s press release, the album features “almost every known Teenage Jesus and the Jerks composition”. Find the tracklist below.

Teenage Jesus and the Jerks were Lunch, Bradly Field, Jim Sclavunos, Gordon Stevenson, Reck, and James Chance. The band famously appeared on the Brian Eno compilation No New York. For a detailed history of the band, read Walter’s press release.
