Oscars 2016: Lady Gaga Performs "Til It Happens to You" From The Hunting Ground

During tonight’s Academy AwardsLady Gaga performed “Til It Happens to You,” from the campus sexual assault documentary The Hunting Ground. Wearing a white suit, she played a large white piano. At the song’s crescendo, she was joined by a crowd of survivors on stage. The song, written by Diane Warren with Gaga, is nominated for Best Original Song. Gaga’s performance was introduced by Vice President Joe Biden with a speech about preventing sexual assault and encouraging people to visit ItsOnUs.org. Watch the performance below.

This afternoon, Gaga tweeted:

Earlier this month, Gaga performed the “Star-Spangled Banner” at the Super Bowl and a David Bowie tribute at the Grammys. She also won a Golden Globe for her performance in American Horror Story: Hotel
