Pitchfork Radio NYC: David Byrne, Run the Jewels, Julian Casablancas, Paul Banks, More

Pitchfork Radio is back in NYC this weekend. Presented by Sonos from their new flagship store at 101 Greene Street in New York City and powered by TuneIn, we’ll be broadcasting live tomorrow, Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern. (Each day’s broadcast will repeat that night and the following morning.)

There will be appearances, interviews, and mixes from David Byrne, Run the Jewels, Julian Casablancas of the Strokes, Paul Banks of Interpol and Banks & Steelz, Will Butler of Arcade Fire, Prodigy of Mobb Deep, Prince Paul / BROOKZILL! , Frankie Cosmos, Sadie Dupuis of Speedy Ortiz, the Range, Prince Rama, Yumi Zouma, and more. Elia Einhorn returns as host. 

David Byrne’s show will consist entirely of unreleased music, including demos from Byrne himself as well as Doug Hream Blunt featuring the Messengers, Andy Noble (Kings Go Forth), and more.

Starting tomorrow, listeners can access Pitchfork Radio by downloading the free TuneIn Radio app for their mobile device or by visiting TuneIn.com.

The Sonos store will be open to the public during the broadcast. Come down and hang out! 101 Greene Street, which opened earlier this week, is Sonos’ first retail store. It features seven Sonos Listening Rooms, as well as original artwork and installations, a collection of Thurston Moore’s cassette tapes, a collection of New York zines (like Arthur, New York Rocker, and more), a “Wall of Sound” made of over 200 Sonos speakers, and an 8×10 foot hand-painted portrait of Rick Rubin.
