Podcast Host Taxstone Arrested in Connection With Irving Plaza T.I. Concert Shooting

Popular podcast host and hip-hop personality Taxstone (real name Daryl Campbell) has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a T.I. concert at Irving Plaza in New York City last year, NBC 4 New York reports. Campbell, who runs the “Tax Season” podcast, was arrested in Brooklyn earlier today. Police told NBC 4 New York that Taxstone was “wanted on a federal warrant charging him with being a felon in possession of firearm and was also being sought by the NYPD in relation to the Irving Plaza shooting.”

Ronald McPhatter, a bodyguard for Troy Ave, was killed in the shooting. Rapper Troy Ave, who was shot in the leg at Irving Plaza, was indicted last summer on one count of attempted second degree murder and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon in relation to the incident. Troy Ave is currently suing Irving Plaza and Live Nation for “the lack of security they provided the night of the incident.” In September, two concert attendees also sued Live Nation after being “trampled” the night of the shooting.
