Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood Says Band are Rehearsing, Recording King of Limbs Follow-Up

We previously reported that Radiohead were in the early stages of plotting their follow-up to 2011′s The King of Limbs. Now, as NME reports, guitarist Jonny Greenwood has confirmed that sessions are officially underway for the outfit’s latest musical venture.

Asked in an interview with BBC’s David Prever on his show “David Prever at Drivetime” yesterday if his bandmates had disembarked for the studio, Greenwood responded, “I’m late, they’ve all gone there now,” adding, “We’re currently playing and recording and it’s fun to see everyone again, it’s been a long time coming, we’ve been waiting all of us for a long time.” Elaborating further on the band’s current state of progress, Greenwood said:

It always feels when we start up like we still don’t know really how to do it, and we don’t know quite what to do. ‘Looking down avenues’ is a very kind way of putting the kind of fumbling that we do, mainly because every time we try and do it like the last time – because that worked – it never seems to work. So we talk about different approaches and we’re currently trying a bunch out.

Along with Thom Yorke and drummer Philip Selway, Greenwood has been musically active as of late, having been selected by Paul Thomas Anderson to score his forthcoming cinematic adaptation of Inherent Vice.
