Rihanna and Jay Z Sued Over Canceled Concert: Report

Rihanna and Jay Z have reportedly been sued over a 2013 Nigeria concert that never took place, TMZ reports. Chris Ubosi claims his company Megalectrics paid two people who claimed to represent Rihanna $160,000 for a May 2013 performance. Ubosi said Rihanna’s reps asked to postpone the show, but since a rescheduled date was never advertised by Rihanna, the Lagos-based company allegedly canceled the performance and asked for its money back. Since the money was never returned, Ubosi is suing Rihanna, her label Roc Nation, and label head Jay Z. According to TMZ, “sources close to Rihanna” claim that Ubosi is the victim of a “scam,” that the singer was never paid for the performance, and that her management didn’t know about the scheduled May 2013 performance.
