Run The Jewels Share Animated "Rubble Kings Theme (Dynamite)" Video
Back in October, El-P and Killer Mike shared a new Run the Jewels track, “Rubble Kings Theme (Dynamite)”, as part of Adult Swim’s singles program. The track, which marked the first new offering from the duo since their cat-sampling remix album Meow the Jewels, appears on the companion album for the documentary Rubble Kings, out January 15 via Mass Appeal.
In addition to “Rubble Kings Theme (Dynamite)”, Rubble Kings: The Album features contributions from Bun B, Ghostface Killah, TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe, Mr Muthaf*kin eXquire, and more. Find a full tracklisting for the album (produced by Little Shalimar, who also scored the film) below.
Additionally, Run the Jewels have shared an animated video for the track (overseen by Rubble Kings director Shawn Nicholson): a violent tale of two New York City gangs that duke it out on the streets and the subway. Meanwhile, an assaulted woman enlists in one of the two gangs to get revenge on those who wronged her. Check out the clip below.

This video was inspired by the Rubble Kings documentary and the works of the great Ralph Bakshi. The video depicts a story of street justice in the turbulent streets of the 1970′s South Bronx. We follow ‘Little Nina’, who’s violently attacked by a rival gang on her way home from her grandmother’s house. What follows is an all out rumble between her gang, the fictionalized ‘Rubble Kings’ and the ‘Javelins’. Run the Jewels alongside producer Little Shalimar provide the rugged soundtrack to the piece.
