Scharpling and Wurster Talk Box Set, Weird Callers on "Seth Meyers"

Tom Scharpling and Jon Wurster (the drummer for Superchunk and the Mountain Goats) stopped by “Late Night with Seth Meyers” last night. They discussed their excellent new box set Scharpling & Wurster: The Best of the Best Show and shed light on the project’s weirdest characters, which include a doo-wop lover named Spike who periodically called in to ask, “Where’s Debbie?” and a 63-year-old self-help author named “The Gorch” who claims to be the real-life inspiration for the Fonz.  Watch below.
