Sex Pistols’ Career Chronicled in New Book God Save Sex Pistols

With the 40th anniversary of Sex Pistols’ “Anarchy in the U.K.” looming, a new book chronicling the history of the band is on the way. God Save Sex Pistols, edited by Johan Kugelberg, author Jon Savage, and Sex Pistols archivist Glenn Terry, is a definitive visual record of the punk band. It’s out October 11 via Rizzoli. The book includes McLaren’s handwritten letters, never-before-seen photographs of the band, concert tickets and fanzines, and album artwork. The original publication will also be released as two deluxe editions on October 21 (via Anthology Editions.)

The God Save Sex Pistols deluxe edition is 320 pages with a 5mm “rubber” slipcase designed by French street artist Zevs, a newsprint companion book with rare press clippings, and a silkscreened print for the Sex Pistols event “Screen on the Green.” The 500 page ultra deluxe edition includes silkscreen prints from Never Mind the BollocksHere’s the Sex Pistols artist Jamie Reid (see below) and Zevs, along with other prints endorsed and stamped by the studios of the artists, and other materials.
