Years ago, Sufjan Stevens, the National’s Bryce Dessner, Nico Muhly, and drummer James McAlister collaborated on a solar system-inspired composition called Planetarium. Today, they (and record label 4AD) have shared a video called “Planetarium.” No other details are provided, but the description includes links to Facebook and Instagram pages with the handle @planetariumalbum, suggesting an LP is on the way. In addition, in 2015, Muhly tweeted, “We made it [a recording]! We just have to release it once miss sufjan done her tour. WATCH THIS SPACE.” Check out the teaser below; scroll down for their 2013 BAM performance of Planetarium’s “Jupiter.”
