The Dandy Warhols Share "You Are Killing Me" Video Starring Andy Warhol Collaborator Joe Dallesandro: Watch

The Dandy Warhols have shared their music video for “You Are Killing Me.” Watch it below. The track is from their upcoming full-length, Distortland, out April 8. The Mark Helfrich-dircted video stars Joe Dallesandro, who appeared in Andy Warhol’s FleshHeat, and Trash, all directed by Warhol collaborator Paul Morrissey. (His crotch also appears on the iconic cover of the Rolling Stones’ Sticky Fingers.) He plays a drunk at the bar who ends up having fun with a group of furries. The band’s Zia McCabe also shows up in the video, dressed in a bunny suit. Helfrich shared a statement about the video:

The concept for the video came out of Courtney’s desire to have a film featuring not only Joe Dallesandro, but furries as well. I thought Joe had the perfect look for a Film Noir setting. So I came up with a trippy treatment and everybody signed off on it.

The day before shooting I got a message that Zia was flying to Los Angeles because she wanted to be the Bunny! So Zia’s the Bunny. I was thrilled to work with the iconic Joe Dallasandro. He hasn’t acted much in the past couple of decades, but he wanted to do this project because he digs the Dandy Warhols. It was an honor to direct him.
