The Flaming Lips Share "Space Oddity" David Bowie Cover Video: Watch
The Flaming Lips have shared the video for their cover of David Bowie‘s “Space Oddity.” In February, they covered the song in tribute to Bowie as part of a medley of his greatest hits. In the video, two nuns deliver flowers to a grave while the band perform to a congregation of sad-looking gray balloons. It was filmed at Crestwood Vineyard Church in Oklahoma City. Watch it below.
The Flaming Lips also took part in in the first Music of David Bowie tribute concert at Carnegie Hall. Wayne Coyne sang “Life on Mars?” while sitting atop Chewbacca’s shoulders.
