The National Announce Listening Parties for Grateful Dead Tribute Album

The National release their all-star tribute album to the Grateful Dead, Day of the Dead, May 20 via 4AD. The years-in-the-making, 59-track compilation will benefit Red Hot, the not-for-profit HIV/AIDS organization. It features Wilco, the Flaming Lips, Courtney Barnett, Anohni, the War on Drugs, Bruce Hornsby with Justin Vernon’s band DeYarmond Edison and Megafaun, Bill Callahan, the Walkmen, Kurt Vile and J Mascis, Jenny Lewis, TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and many more, as well as the National themselves, who also feature on many songs as the house band. To celebrate its release, they’re throwing 19 listening parties across the U.S. the night before. Check out a full list of venues on the poster below.
