The National’s Matt Berninger Performs at “Game of Thrones” Concert: Watch

The score for “Game of Thrones” is currently being performed on a live tour throughout North America. The shows feature a full orchestra and a choir. At last night’s performance in Las Vegas, the National’s Matt Berninger came out as a special guest, as Brooklyn Vegan points out. He performed “The Rains of Castamere”—a crucial song from the series. Watch clips of Berninger’s performance below. In 2015, the National recorded their own version of the song and released it on the soundtrack for the show’s second season. The National and Sigur Rós have both contributed music to “Game of Thrones.” Mastodon appeared on the showTwo mixtapes of music inspired by the series have been released.
