Since reuniting last year, the Replacements have played a handful of stand-alone shows and festival dates. And according to a story in Rolling Stone, founding members Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson might be working on a new Replacements album. The band’s last studio album was 1990′s All Shook Down

Rolling Stone reports that “the Replacements say they’ll likely make an album at some point in the future.” They’ve written a handful of songs. One of them is potentially called “Are You in It for the Money?”, while another is “Dead Guitar Player”. (It should be noted, somewhat morbidly, that original guitar player Bob Stinston died in 1995. His replacement, Slim Dunlap, had a stroke in 2012.)

According to Rolling Stone, the reunion has brought Westerberg and Stinson closer together as friends. “I think we got to realize we might need each other a bit,” Stinson said.
