The Tragically Hip to Stream Final Show

Earlier this year, the Tragically Hip announced their final tour and a new album. The news came as they revealed that lead singer and founding member Gord Downie had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Tomorrow night, the band, led by Downie, will play their final show. It takes place at Rogers K-Rock Centre in Kingston, Ontario at 8:30 p.m. Eastern. CBC Music will broadcast the show online, as Rolling Stone points out. Watch it below.

The Tragically Hip formed in 1984. The band has won multiple Juno Awards, and been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Among their fans is Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who is set to attend the band’s final show. This past June, they released their album Man Machine Poem.
