Thom Yorke Says Radiohead Will Play Shows in 2017

During Thom Yorke’s co-hosting spot on BBC Radio 1 tonight, Benji B asked Yorke about Radiohead’s next moves. After outlining the band’s current schedule, he discussed their plans beyond their upcoming set at Austin City Limits. “And then there’s a break, and then we’ll do some more next year, but I don’t know exactly what yet.” Listen to the full episode here.

Yorke also discussed the process of working with Flea and Nigel Godrich in Atoms for Peace. He revealed that he wanted to get the band back together as soon as he’s less busy with Radiohead and Flea’s less busy with the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Later in the episode, when asked what he’s working on right now, Yorke said, “I’m just getting back into it.” He also revealed that he’s building a home studio.

During the three-hour show, he also talked about how tired he was of surprise releases and mentioned that he worked on new music with Four Tet and Burial. He also shared a previously unreleased MF DOOM remix.
