Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross Score Mark Wahlberg Boston Marathon Bombing Movie

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have composed the score for the upcoming film Patriots Day, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Directed by Peter Berg (Deepwater Horizon, Friday Night Lights, Hancock) and starring Mark Wahlberg, the film tells the story of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. Berg shared the announcement via Instagram. You can find his post below. The film will be see a limited release in Boston, New York and Los Angeles on December 21, 2016, and will be given a wider theatrical release on January 13, 2017. 

Reznor and Ross, along with Mogwai, and the Argentine film composer Gustavo Santaolalla have scored Leonardo DiCaprio’s climate change documentary Before the Flood. Tomorrow, the documentary will be screened at the White House’s collaborative event with SXSW: South by South Lawn.
