Tyler, the Creator has cancelled his Australian tour after a campaign by feminist group Collective Shout, the Guardian reports. His touring company Frontier Touring confirmed the news in a statement via Facebook

“We would much rather come to Australia when it isn’t surrounded in controversy,” Tyler said in the statement. “I love my fans there and hopefully I’ll be back soon. Don’t do drugs.”

Last month, Tyler claimed via Twitter that he’d been banned from entering the country for his four-date tour. In the tweets, he blamed the director of operations at Collective Shout, a group whose members he has targeted in the past. This time, the group were campaigning for the government to reject Tyler’s visa application, citing “songs advocating rape and extreme violence against women” as well as his behaviour on earlier tours.

In fact, Tyler’s visa had not yet been denied, and it looks like he made this decision of his own accord.
