Tyler, the Creator Details Documentary DVD, Meets Hans Zimmer in New Clip: Watch

Tyler, the Creator’s Cherry Bomb: The Documentary finally has a release date. The film chronicling the making of his 2015 album Cherry Bomb is out January 30. It will be available on DVD in limited quantities via the Illegal Civilization website; the release is limited to 500 copies, all of which will be signed by Tyler. The documentary was directed, shot, produced, and cut by Mikey Alfred and Illegal Civ Cinema. An L.A. event for the film, featuring Tyler, has also been announced—find a flyer below.

In a new clip from the film, Tyler records a saxophonist and then goes to Hans Zimmer’s studio to record string parts for the song “2Seater.” Later on, he meets up with Zimmer himself, who gives Tyler’s string arrangement a nod of approval. Watch it all go down below. A previously released clip from the documentary featured Kanye West recording his verse for “Smuckers.”
