Tyler, the Creator Voices a Foul-Mouthed Cat in New Animated Film: Watch the Trailer

Tyler, the Creator will lend his voice to a peg-legged, foul-mouthed, eyepatch-wearing cat named Oscar in The Adventures of Drunky, an upcoming adult animated comedy from Augenblick Studios (“Ugly Americans,” “The Jellies,” “Wonder Showzen”), Exclaim! points out. The movie is about “a hapless barfly named Drunky (Sam Rockwell). When God (Jeffrey Tambor) and the Devil (Steve Coogan) make a cosmic bet and destroy his life, Drunky travels through Heaven and Hell to rescue the girl he loves (Nina Arianda) and save the world.” Tyler’s co-stars also include John Leguizamo, Abby Elliott, Jay Pharoah, Noël Wells, Dave Attell, Jon Glaser, and others. A crowdfunding campaign is currently underway for the film.

Tyler is featured in the film’s trailer. Below, watch Oscar cuss out God (Tambor) for introducing him with a cutesy title. (“I’m no fucking kitty, you drunk piece of shit.”) 

Tyler’s not the first hip-hop artist to voice an animated feline this year. Back in March, A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg portrayed rapping bodega cats on an episode of the HBO series “Animals.”
