Tyondai Braxton Shares "Gracka"

Former Battles member Tyondai Braxton‘s new album, HIVE1, is out May 12 via Nonesuch. Today, he shared a new track called “Gracka”. Check it out above.

“Gracka is a nickname for my wife Grace and it reminds me of her,” Braxton said in a press release. “The piece emulates her always surprising, always beautiful spirit and down to earth nature.”

He’s also announced a three-night residency at New York City’s The Kitchen, where HIVE—the performance piece that HIVE1 is drawn from—will be performed inside of an installation by artist Grace Villamil. That takes place June 4-6. He’ll also perform HIVE at Montreal’s Mutek
Festival on May 30.
