Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig Sings “Seinfeld” Version of John Lennon’s “Imagine”: Listen

On his Beats 1 radio show “Time Crisis,” Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig sang an impromptu version of John Lennon’s “Imagine,” changing the words to discuss “Seinfeld” (sample lyric: “Imagine ‘Seinfeld’ back on TV/It isn’t hard to do/Kramer, George, and Elaine/Maybe Newman too”). Stream the clip below.

The bit was inspired by a conversation about @Seinfeld2000, a Twitter personality that imagines if “Seinfeld” was on TV today. Koenig previously collaborated with @Seinfeld2000 for a video game soundtracked by Koenig’s take on the “Seinfeld” theme.
