Vince Staples Addresses Black Lives Matter, M.I.A. in New Freestyle: Watch

Vince Staples was a recent guest of Funkmaster Flex’s Hot 97 show. During his appearance, Staples delivered a new three-minute freestyle that talked about Black Lives Matter, (“If my black lives matter motherfucker start business in your hood/Instead of letting fucking Starbucks in it/If my black lives matter then respect our women/If my black lives matter don’t neglect our children”), shouted out M.I.A., (“Every night on my knees I pray/My next girl look like M.I.A.”), and mental health (“Used to have depression, used to have a couple mood swings”). He rapped over a RZA-produced beat from Raekwon’ “Ice Cream.” Watch his full freestyle below. Staples’ latest release was this year’s Prima Donna
