Big Star‘s original drummer Jody Stephens has a new band called Those Pretty Wrongs. It’s a duo—Stephens and Luther Russell of the Freewheelers. On May 13, they’ll release their debut self-titled album via Ardent/Burger. Listen to the album’s opening track “Ordinary” above.

Those Pretty Wrongs was recorded to 2″ tape at Ardent Recording Studios in Memphis. They recorded using some of Big Star’s old gear (including Stephens’ drum kit and the late Chris Bell’s guitars). The album features “Lucky Guy,” which was released as a single last year.

Those Pretty Wrongs:

01 Ordinary
02 I’m for Love
03 Lucky Guy
04 Empty City
05 Thrown Away
06 Never Goodbye
07 The Cube
08 Start Again
09 Mystery Trip
10 The Heart
