Watch Arcade Fire Perform “Vampire/Forest Fire” in Rare 2002 Footage

Arcade Fire’s debut self-released, self-titled EP was released in 2003. In May, some footage from 2003 of Win Butler, Régine Chassagne, Dane Mills, and Tim Kingsbury performing “No Cars Go” (from the EP) in Toronto hit the web. Now, rare footage has surfaced of an early iteration of the band performing “Vampire/Forest Fire” at a show in Montreal. Watch it below.

The lineup featured current members Win Butler and Régine Chassagne with former members Dane Mills, Brendan Reed, and Myles Broscoe. Previously released footage from the same show captured the band playing “My Heart is an Apple,” but it has since been deleted. Thanks to Ryan Mills, who filmed and uploaded the footage below, for the tip.
